Recently, a Japanese company attempted to land the first-ever privately-funded spacecraft on the Moon, however, the lander disappeared from radar and may have crashed onto its surface. For over 60 years, the mission to “conquer, occupy, keep, and utilize space between the Earth and the Moon.” has been adversely affecting the lunar environment with cross-contamination, toxic chemical spills, tons of debris, and dispersion of rock and dust. Additionally, Apollo left behind a nuclear generator.  We need to re-examine our priorities on Earth before we spend billions of dollars on decimating the Moon. Tonight on Ground Zero, Clyde Lewis talks with Richard C. Hoagland about LUNA TRICKS.

While landing people on the Moon was undoubtedly an impressive technical achievement and helped humanity to appreciate how unique the Earth is, the problematic issues – especially of human space flight – are now being exploited.

We have been there and done that — but still, problems remain and with the latest headline you wonder if we are just starting all over again and failing in the process.

Or we can always think of the unthinkable which includes the idea that someone or something does not want us to go back into space anytime soon.

I know that failures are part of the game in reaching space. There were many rockets at the beginning that failed to launch — only to explode on the launch pad.

But after over 50 years of trying and succeeding with an alleged moon landing in 1969 — the idea of rockets failing and lunar orbiters disappearing in the present ring somber note for the possibility of a successful manned landing in the moon in 2025.

Satellites have become essential for telecommunications and monitoring the state of the Earth’s environment, while missions beyond Earth’s orbit have helped our understanding of the Sun and other planets.

This latter knowledge has been useful, for example, in helping us to predict the effect of solar changes on our weather and improving our comprehension of how the magnetic field protects our planet.

But with human space flight, the benefits are harder to identify, while the negative elements are rather more obvious.

Elon Musk’s personal fortune took a hit of almost $13 billion last week as the world watched a SpaceX rocket explode in midair.

The rocket, the most powerful ever built, did not reach orbit but provided important lessons for Musk’s private SpaceX as it worked toward a more successful mission.

Musk put a positive spin on the whole affair, but those who question the purpose of a space program — those who dwindle in faith wonder why in the 21st century space travel has become so difficult.

It’s a hard sell for NASA and Musk to tell us about lofty goals to land on Mars when we seem to have problems with getting back to the moon.

Looking back at basic history we know that the Space Race between the USA and the Soviet Union – which of course included the Apollo missions to the Moon and other early human missions – was driven far more by superpower rivalry than it was by exploration or science.

And this link was strongest in rocket technology. Both nations were developing inter-continental ballistic missiles to carry their nuclear warheads, but the failure rate during testing was high.

Human space missions – including the Russian Vostok, Voskhod and Soyuz and the American Mercury, Gemini and Apollo – became a vital testing ground for this rapidly developing technology.

The so-called amoral former Nazi Werner Von Braun knew how to get rockets in the sky — but the idea of sending someone up into space and bringing them back safely was a very difficult thing to do.

And yet when it was show time — the first try brought enormous success. Of course, there are skeptics who find this hard to believe– it is even harder still to keep the faith as we can see the failures happening in the 21st century — it is like remedial rocketry all over again.

Former Nazi Major General Walter Dornberger, head of Hitler’s V1 and V2 program, told Congress in 1958 that America’s top space priority ought to be to “conquer, occupy, keep, and utilize space between the Earth and the Moon.” The Apollo missions were the first phase — on-site assessments to gather samples, run experiments, and test human interaction with the lunar environment.

Since 1959, lunar missions and crashes by the U.S., China, Russia, Japan, India, Israel, and European Union have left over 413,000 pounds of debris and toxic substances on the formerly pristine lunar surface including 96 bags of bacteria-laden human excrement dumped by the Apollo missions.

Apollo also left a nuclear generator on the moon.

Governments have intentionally hit the moon 22 times as part of experiments and conducted 17 other post-mission crashes.

The U.S. did the majority — 16 post-mission crashes and 14 intentional strikes, including the 2009 LCROSS hit, equivalent to 1.5 tons of TNT, to blast 350 tons of rock and dust and create a six-mile-high cloud for data gathering and public relations.

That mission cost $49 million, and NASA’s Ames Research celebrated with an all-night party.

In the 1950s, the U.S. even planned to drop an atomic bomb on the moon — Project A119 – but canceled it as too risky.

All of these projects affecting the moon environment, the cross-contamination and other dispersing of rock and dust has been seen as a detriment to the lunar environment — not to mention the effect these rocket launches have on the earth’s environment.

It again should be noted that Space launches are not helping with the so-called climate crisis.

For example, before leaving Earth’s atmosphere, each space shuttle spewed thousands of pounds of metals and other chemicals into the air, including lithium, nickel, mercury bismuth, manganese, aluminum, iron, and zinc.

People think of a shuttle launch as a short-term, finite event, but each launch expels a huge amount of debris into the atmosphere with the potential for long-term effects on the surrounding ecosystem. The plume contains hydrogen chloride, a strong acid. After launches, the pH of the nearby lagoons may plummet for a short time, rendering the water nearly as caustic as battery acid.

I can hear Greta Thunberg now saying “How Dare You!”

None of these matters to NASA, the U.S. government, other countries, and related businesses. Laser-focused on their mission objectives, with virtually no checks or public oversight, they wield the ultimate in “big toys.”

The United States alone budgets millions of tax dollars every year to develop space technology for future outposts and has spent billions on the Artemis Program. For their space program, the overarching priorities are American supremacy, empire, and profit — the unflinching mandate of manifest destiny projected into space.

Not to mention the idea that space has been designated as one of the battlefields where our Space Force is on the ready to defend Earth from earthly and unknown threats –which is of course illudes to extraterrestrial threats.

The idea of pissing off our possible extraterrestrial neighbors is not so far-fetched now that the Pentagon is now concerned with unknown threats for outer space.

Two days ago a Japanese startup attempted to land the first-ever privately-funded spacecraft on the Moon. It was supposed to be an exciting moment as live feeds were sent to YouTube and there was a celebratory clamor for the Tokyo-based company called I-space.

But something happened.

The lander just disappeared. It blipped of the radar. Hakuto-R Mission 1, which launched on 11 December 2022 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The lander had been in lunar orbit since 21 March, with the touchdown expected to take place on the 26th.

Communications with the craft were lost just at the moment of the planned landing, with Ispace saying that it may well have crashed into the Moon’s surface rather than land safely.

The cause of the disappearance was unknown and the last thing the leader did was snap a picture of the earth–and then nothing.

I posted a news story on my Facebook feed –and it was almost unanimous that what happened may have been related to aliens warding off our presence on the moon — that many people believe that this is the reason we have never gone back — the aliens are tired of the moon being contaminated by humans.

NASA has avoided disclosing that our space probes might be tampered with by UFOs or a possible extra-terrestrial presence.

I know that for some this may be a farfetched concept — but history has shown and astronauts have claimed that there has always been an alien presence during space missions.

There was the story of Friendship 7 and how John Glenn was describing how beautiful the earth was while he was in orbit. Bu then he realized he was not alone.

Surrounding Friendship 7, were tiny lights that Glenn described as little creatures gathering around the spacecraft. There were thousands of tiny creatures. Some came right to his window, and he stared in wonder at the tiny fairy-like entities.

Glenn was beside himself with awe and curiosity and fascination. He had no idea where this stunning phenomenon had originated. “I’ll try to describe what I’m in here,” he radioed the ground. Those below in the tracking station on Canton Island snapped too.

“I’m in a big mass of thousands of very small particles that are brilliantly lit up like they’re luminescent,” Glenn went on. “They are bright yellowish-green. About the size and intensity of a firefly on a really dark night. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

“Roger, Friendship Seven, this is Canton Capcom,” came an immediate answering voice. “Can you hear any impact with the capsule? Over.”

“Negative, negative. They’re very slow,” Glenn responded. “They’re not going away from me at more than maybe three or four miles an hour.”

The ground team was awestruck, but hardly more so than Glenn. Both sides did their best to determine what was going on “up and out there.”

Just as suddenly as they appeared, the shining specks vanished as Friendship 7 sped over the Pacific expanse into brighter sunlight.

But they came back.

Later NASA announced that vapor from the capsule turned to ice and that this was the explanation for the so-called alien creatures.

Many people believe that NASA knew that Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong had an encounter with aliens, which is why they erased 40 rolls of film from the Apollo 11 mission. It was claimed by Bob Dean, a United States Army Command Sergeant Major.

According to a report, there is a transcript between Aldrin and Armstrong where the two had witnessed extraterrestrial activities on Moon during the Apollo 11 mission.

Apart from this, what former NASA astronaut Franklin Story Musgrave said about his experience in space would shock anyone. He claimed to have seen an 8-foot-long snake, white in color, floating through space. It is hard to explain how a snake could reach space, but Musgrave has never denied it.

Musgrave is also a retired colonel of the United States Marine Corps, physician, and mathematician, holds six academic degrees, and is simply a legendary figure in US history. He spent a total of 1,281 hours, 59 minutes, 22 seconds during his six space shuttle missions in space including 27 hours of spacewalk. Besides, he developed a spacesuit for space shuttle astronauts.

This is not the end of strange anomalies watched by the astronauts in space. Retired astronaut Leroy Chiao, a commander of Expedition 10, along with his crew members witnessed a set of bright lights in the formation of an upside-down tick mark in space.

The description of an unknown snake-like creature or craft given by Musgrave was also spotted in March 2019, when one of the passengers on a commercial airline flight from Phoenix to Portland captured two long dark objects, having long tails or tentacles. Some viewers compared it with the squid lime sentinels from the Matrix series, while others believe that it was possibly something from another dimension that slipped through momentarily.

There have also been strange alien UFO reports with missions to Mars — and somehow we have made it — but is it dumb luck?

Apollo Astronaut Buzz Aldrin has mentioned many times about anomalous artifacts found on the Mars Moon Phobos including a monolith structure, and how a settlement on Mars should be led by the United States and that historians will record our success in leaving Earth for Mars sooner than later.

Oh but it is only a dream — we are not even close to a moon landing yet.

The Russians have always had trouble with their experiments to explore Mars. The United States has had problems as well and there have been many people who have stated for the record that someone or something wants us stay away from Mars or is keeping us from exploring some of its mysteries.

The trek to Mars has always been difficult and many of the launches to the Red Planet have been vexed with some sort of extra-terrestrial sabotage.

One of the more mysterious cases in recent memory happened in 1989 when the first attempt to deliver landers to the surface of Phobos—one of Mars’s moons was halted by a collision with what appeared to be a UFO. Moments before the collision, Phobos 2 sent to Earth pictures of a huge object in the shape of a long bus and it was moving quite fast.

The first probe was lost on its way to explore the Martian moon. NASA had said that the probe was destroyed by a Meteorite. However, the other probe recorded something far more frightening. Something that was large enough to cast a shadow on the Martian surface.

Photos of a very long cigar-shaped object were the last transmissions of the probe before it was obliterated. One of the photos showed an elliptical-shaped shadow cast on the Martian surface. The other photos transmitted what appeared to be a ball of energy beyond the probe. There were of course other shots taken by the probe reportedly showing some “sensitive information.”

Congress continues to divert more taxpayer dollars into these extremely costly space projects — the next moon visit could cost trillions. This resource extraction from taxpayers robs cities, counties, and states of critical financial resources to solve real problems right here, especially now, while ignoring the planetary environmental cost.

How can we talk about new space missions when we are throwing money at a war?

Unless we can use the space money to contribute to the war effort and use the so-called alien invasion as a reason to pursue warfare on Earth and well as in space.

The defense of the United States has a serious vulnerability that America’s main competitors, Russia and China, are aware of.

Brandon Weichert stated that US military satellites are extremely vulnerable to potential enemy attacks, and the Pentagon will also experience problems with their maintenance. There is a shortage of spare parts caused by their high cost and complexity in production.

The Pentagon over the past 30-40 years has been purchasing and deploying satellites, which were subsequently combined into one / two systems. If Russia or China disables even one of these spacecraft, then this could lead to the neutralization of almost the entire US space defense system. Moreover, this can be done relatively inexpensively, for this you need only one rocket or an old satellite, which will be sent to the enemy’s apparatus.

In addition, the strike can be aimed at civilian satellite systems. And then the entire American economy will come to a standstill. It will be impossible to carry out electronic transfers and financial transactions.

With the entire void of space being polluted by satellites, we could see a Kessler syndrome which would create a chaotic imbalance in space and limit our ability to travel to the moon and Mars.

As the number of artificial satellites in Earth orbit increases, the probability of collisions between satellites also increases. And furthermore, any initial satellite collision would produce orbiting fragments – a cloud of unintentional missiles traveling at tens of kilometers per second – each of which would increase the probability of further collisions, leading to what is known as “collisional cascading.

All of this was proposed by a NASA scientist named Donald Kessler in 1978. If you’ve seen Alfonso Cuarón’s 2013 movie Gravity, you know exactly how this works.

Once the exponential chain of collisions begins, it will keep going for decades, until there is a ‘shell’ of debris surrounding the Earth, orbiting at high speed, capable of destroying any other object that enters that zone of destruction.

And this isn’t hypothetical: according to Donald Kessler, it has already begun. He claims the cascade is happening right now.

He says it started with a collision in 2009 between two communications satellites, the Iridium 33 and the derelict Russian military satellite Kosmos-2251. That one event is said to have created around a thousand pieces of debris that will likely orbit the Earth for the next 10,000 years.

If Kessler’s scenario plays out in coming decades, it will have grave implications for modern society – cascading collisions of satellites and a resulting ‘dead zone’ that limits our ability to place satellites in orbit could play havoc with telecommunications, weather forecasting and other systems that depend on this technology.

But there is another possible implication: could an orbital shell of debris grow to a size and density where it is virtually impervious to spacecraft attempting to leave the planet?

If so this would actually imprison us on the earth and we would find it difficult to send any spacecraft out into space to explore other planets.

Over 23,000 objects the size of a softball or larger are tracked 24/7 to detect potential collisions with satellites and the International Space Station (ISS). A number of tiny objects—ranging from rock or dust particles to flecks of paint from satellites—are also too small to be monitored.

The threat of collisions is taken very seriously.

Human history with empires and invaders that subjugate and plunder is being repeated again, with an addiction to “command and control” permeating these space programs. These values and policies are opposed to life, peace, and a future.

If a majority of UFO watchers are right — the aliens may not like what they see and they will intervene.

If humans are incapable of fixing the dire messes they’ve created on Earth, incapable of stopping wars, incapable of living cooperatively with their neighbors, and continue with their lunar tricks then they cannot go off the planet or contaminate anything else.

I don’t think the intent of our space program, regarding going back to the moon, is to decimate, or destroy it in any way, only to get H3 and any other valuable minerals from it, hopefully as safely and cleanly as possible.

Japan might of planned a pretend crash, so they can do things behind everyone’s backs. I’ll be listening.

Vladimir Putin is the one behind the war in and against Ukraine and Ukrainians
We are the only ones who have been to the moon from earth, so naturally we would be the only ones who would have left bags of fecal matter and I guess containers of urine behind as well.
Why is it that you seem to hate space exploration? It is not as though they would otherwise spend that money on any other worthy projects here on earth; not that I will hear an answer, afterall, my stream has cut out again, and haven’t heard anything in 15 minutes, now, and this screen is jumping around, again.

I seen a nazi V-2. Rocket in. Ft Bliss to. It was captured by in launch pad in nazi germany and brought by to US. My mother , till the day she passed on belived the moon landing was fake. We watch it live on a black and white tv when I was. 13, with my to brothers. I have my doubts it was real to this day. We had no tech. And computers. Like today and. We still havt sent man on moon for years! Take care enjoy. Every day God gives us!

I would tend to think slowly escaping moon would be preferable place to store hazardous waste rather than our green earth? Unfortunately cost of doing is too great, as launching into the sun.
